Compagnie Martinquaise d'Expansion (COMEX) is a former holding company, established in Martinique in 1981. It was owned by Yves and José Hayot and managed a number of their diverse business interests on the island. Among these were several rum holdings, including the Distillerie du Simon and the historic J. Bally brand (which it later sold in 1996).
The organisation was eventually merged into a new holding company called HOLMEX in 2004.
