McKesson Corporation

McKesson Corporation is a historic American company, originally founded in 1833 as a drug import and wholesale business called Olcott & McKesson. The company had significant interests in wine and spirits  in the 20th century, however divested entirely from them by 1989 in order to focus on the healthcare industry.

Among these were subsidiaries such as McKesson Wine & Spirits, Carlton Importing Co and "21" Brands Inc. Significantly, the latter in-turn owned Mount Gay Distilleries from 1980 until its acquisition by E. Rémy Martin & Cie in 1989.
