Enmore 1988 Silver Seal 30 Year Old 1.5 Litre
An aged single cask rum from Guyana, distilled at Enmore in 1988.
The Enmore distillery closed in 1993, with its stills moved first to Uitvlugt and then to Diamond in 2000. At the time, both the Enmore wooden coffey still and the the Versailles single wooden pot still were active at the distillery> it is not stated which of them produced this, and it may be a vattign of both.
Bottled in 20186 by Silver Seal, this is one of 80 magnums from cask #17.
Silver Seal was founded by Ernesto Mainardi in 2000. This was Mainardi's second bottling company after the esteemed Sestane in 1979. Both companies were sold to Massimo Righi, proprietor of Whisky Antique, in 2010. Since then the company has produced a steady stream of high quality rum to add to its sought after back-catalogue.
