Discover and bid on unique, rare and collectible rums in our online auctions each month.
You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.
Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.
Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £5.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).
Incremental Bidding Explained
Our system increases bids based on preset increments, as shown in the table below, whether you set a maximum bid or make a single bid.
Cartavio 3 Year Old Ron Gran Ambar
Not to be confused with the similarly named distillery in Venezuela, Destillerias Unidas S.A. de Peru (or DUSA de Peru) traces its origins back to 1792 when Domingo Cartavio procured land in the Chicama Valley, near the Pacific coast. He continued the centuries old tradition of sugar cultivation on the estate, and when its owners in 1929, W.B. Grace eventually built a distillery there, they named it Cartavio in his honour. The subsequent decades were turbulent, not least in the late 1960s when the Peruvian government took control of the sugar industry. A wave of privatisation in the early 1990s saw the establishment of Cartavio SA in 1994, who took over operations there. Its subsequent iteration, DUSA de Peru set about an intensive modernisation of the run-down plant, introducing a multiple vacuum column stills to add to the John Dore pot still installed there in 1953. Both still types are used in the production of its rum, the flagship brand of which is still Ron Cartavio.
This is a 3 year old aged rum for the Cartavio.
A distillery established in Peru in 1929. It has been owned by the Grupo IF in Spain since 1994 and is run by its Cartavio Rum Company subsidiary (previously Industrial Cartavio SA and Destilerías Unidas SAC - or DUSAC).

A former distillery company based in Peru. It was founded in 1994 by the Fierro Group (based in Spain) in order to manage the Cartavio distillery in brand, acquired in the same year from the state-owned Sociedad Paramonga. It was later replaced by Destilerías Unidas SAC (DUSAC) in 2001.
