You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.
Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.
Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £5.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).

Our system increases bids based on preset increments, as shown in the table below, whether you set a maximum bid or make a single bid.

Sansibar Whisky is a German independent bottler, specialising in Scotch, Japanese whisky and rum. Founded by connoisseur, Jens Drewitz, he tastes and hand-selects almost every cask he purchases, on site at the distilleries. An impressive eye for quality, Sansibar have also supported other small independents, acting as the exclusive German distributor for Glasgow's North Star, and Hidden Spirits in Italy.
Distilled at the nation's only distillery in 1999 and bottled at 20 years old, this is one of 406.
The Compania Licorera de Nicaragua distillery (CLDN) was established in 1937 to produce the Flor de Cana rum brand, first bottled in the late 19th century. The distillery was extensively upgraded in 1996 and is one of the most modern rum producing facilities in the world. It operates a three-column continuous still, and the aged rum is laid down for a minimum of four years in American oak casks. The ability of CLDN to continue distilling during the turbulent periods of Nicaraguan history during the 1980s and 1990s means that it has one of the largest stock inventories of aged rum in the world, meaning it can spare a lot of casks for independent labels like this.
SER Licorera
A distillery originally known as the Compania Licorera de Nicaragua and often referred to as CLDN. It is located in Chichigalpa in the shadow of the San Cristobal volcano and is the home of the historic Flor de Caña brand.
Sansibar Whisky
A well-respected German independent bottler and distributor, founded in 2010 by whisky collector and connoisseur Jens Drewitz. While the company mostly bottled Scotch whiskies, it also has an impressive collection of rum releases in its back catalogue.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes.
The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
